Inspiration for launching Casamia:
CS: My co-founder Marisa is a true hostess with the mostess, while hosting used to seem overwhelming to me…. From a time commitment to not having the right ‘things’ to the $$$.
MR: We saw a void in the market and wanted to bring the ease of hosting to homes around the nation.
The one thing you always have on your dining table:
CS: Farmer’s Market Flowers….One of the biggest perks of living in Southern California!
MR: A bowl of lemons!
Share one or two of your go-to's for stylish entertaining:
CS: Self-serve bar with wine & beer, plus one cocktail option that pairs well with whatever is being served… Minimal florals because I love to serve family style, statement platters, and complementary colors + patterns rather than matchy-matchy!
MR: I love to tie napkins in a knot plus a beautiful flower arrangement although just a handful of single stems in bud vases elevates any table.
Secret weapons for throwing a great dinner party:

CS: Aperol Spritz in summer & Martini with homemade blue cheese stuffed olives in winter. MR: Marisa's Martini
CS: My husband is the chef - right now his go to is a Barbuto-inspired Steak Salad. MR: I'm known for my cheese boards + a homemade pasta.
CS: Depends on the # of people and if they know each other or not! MR: Assigned, love switching it up and making everyone talk to someone new!
CS: Move to family room for post-dinner drinks and sweets - most likely some sort of chocolate for people to grab if they need something sweet!
MR: Shoes off, chatting, cocktails with friends.
